1 Man Army

Since first putting needle to record in his home town of Adelaide in 1991, 1 Man Army's (previously known as Impact) career has seen him reinvent himself a number of times. From hardcore, drum & bass, techno, house and breaks, he has never let himself be confined to any one genre and it's this diversity that has allowed him to play numerous clubs and parties over the years. In the mid 90's he hosted one of Adelaide's leading dance music radio shows, Lunacy as well as delving into promotions and hosting his own events before relocating to Sydney in 1998. With an obvious love of all things musical, 2004 saw him form mash up trio The Impossibles whilst still playing solo gigs.

On the production side of things, 1 Man Army has been producing tracks, exclusive edits, remixes and mash ups for his sets for years (under the alias' A-kin, Impact, Digital Pimpz and Downtime) but it wasn't until he teamed up with Steve Lind in late 2007 that things really took off. Writing as The Hump Day Project, the duo have gained success through their numerous bootlegs and remixes which have featured in the sets of Utah Saints, Stanton Warriors, Ajax and The Aston Shuffle, plus this has lead on to the release of official remixes for Sweat It Out, Gulp Communications and Neon Records.

In addition to balancing gigs under his various guises, August 2008 saw 1 Man Army help launch BIG TROUBLE, initially a monthly party at the Chinese Laundry which, as of February 2010 has gone weekly. With such a full plate, the year ahead promises to be a busy!

A-Tonez

Originally from Canberra (via Bateman’s Bay), A-Tonez was schooled on how to read a crowd at a very early age. He started DJing as resident at a Bateman’s Bay Hotel from the age of 14, where he had to get himself a written permission note from his dad to be able to appear. He’s now made his way into the Sydney scene and has picked up a regular spot at one of the world’s top clubs, Chinese Laundry. Combining turntablist skills with electro, he is a one to watch out for.

Act Yo Age

Bastions of bounce, assassinators of fakers, Act Yo Age are in the building.

Coming live and direct from a love bunker deep in the neon gothic forests of Xanadu, they are rapidly shaking the tree from which the apple fell, bringing forbidden sonic fruits to the hungry zombie masses across this universe and into the next.

Part werewolf, part faster pussycat, part robot love machine, see them ride fearlessly through the intergalactic night and enter the strobe zone, cutting down imitators in their path and loving freely at each and every turn.

They do not go quietly, nor do they travel unarmed, they pack an attitude adjustment ray gun set to decimate and aimed squarely at any demon or dancer that knows how to shake and bake.

They live for dress ups and die for a dance competition in the toilets, they believe all that glitters in not gold, nor kryptonite for that matter. They are oft to be found on midnight forays for rainbow dust, pixie blood and endlessness itself, that nearly always end in tears.

They have been hyped and tipped to be the next hot thing, but these two night freaks say they will be content with a rumble in the bassbins, a zap in the speakers and nothing less than murder on the dancefloor.

Ajax

His nickname used to be Thommo, but during the the early nineties it didn't sound very acid house. He didn't like it, he never liked it this boy from OZ. The name tormented him, it undermined his dance party status and his emerging sexuality he thought. At art school the media students teased him and the sculpture students used to steal his mo wax lunchbox and mix clay into his peanut butter sandwiches. He ate them anyway. Art was going to kill him... he needed to fight back... he needed to become an art killer.

After burning his whiteboard markers, his teaching jacket and other assorted art college paraphanalia, his soul surrended. Giggling, the now defunct COFA Lecturer flipped some switches, twiddled knobs and took any excess clay he found to his new spinning wheels. The abject lump of clay soon became a fragmented mess of dried up mud, dust and spilt candy glazes. It wasn't an idealized form, there was shit everywhere but he loved it. Thommo had become a disco Jockey...Thommo had become Ajax.

Ajax made friends fast, although the dancefloor still wasn't sure of his technique. So he and his few new friends created their own studio...The BANG GANG (Modular). Soon the shit noise that they had created spawned a new poetry and it was recorded. Technics In The Mix No.1 Australian DJ 2007 and 2006, Allen & Heath DMA Best Australian DJ and Best Mixed CD 2006, 3D World DJ of the Year 2002, 2004, 2005, his Art Killing had hit new heights. Busy Ps Best DJ of 2007 (XLR8R), Digitalism's best dJ of 2007 (BIGSHOT) and Justice's One to Watch in 2008 (DJ MAGAZINE). Fabric (London) pay him occasionally as do Showcase (Paris) for some spot cleaning, he no longer borrows money from his mum. His ego has spiralled out of control and bent his pop making; remixing Princess Superstar, Midnight Juggernauts, The Emergency, Naive New Beaters, and the Valentinos.

People laughed, some cried... His naked ambition had made him a peep show. Soon the dollar coins started to pile, he climbed them and to his surprise all he could see was clay and dust and glazes in every direction. He was speaking in toungues, a green foam frothed soon from his nostrils and he perspired..... what better he thought than to manipulate his ooze and bring forth (up) his own record label, Sweat It Out. With subscriptions to Modern Painters and Frieze now long expired, the battle for dominance between Ajax and Art continues. With the field wider and the arsenal larger, we expect an explosive and intriguing era ahead.

Blaze Tripp

Blaze Tripp has a strange name and an even more peculiar upbringing. A child of the 80s/90s, growing up he was introduced to an aural diet of psychedelic blues, heavy metal & hedonistic rock. Being the lovechild of two talented musicians he was thrown into a life of late nights, hotels & tour buses at an early age. His allure to music was shown early with a keen interest in anything that was capable of making a noise – drums, piano or guitar. Soon enough nature triumphed over nurture when he heard his first electronic kick drum and from there it was clear that the tables were about to turn, quite literally.

Looking back he won’t be able to tell you if it was Technotronic, The Prodigy or even Daft Punk but there was something about dance music that caught his attention - addictive beats & heavy basslines. It was at this point Blaze officially joined “the darkside” becoming the black sheep of his family and trading in his drums, bass, guitar & rock n roll heritage for an 808, a 909 & a 303. Undeterred Blaze took solace in Fatboy Slim’s wise words that “Everybody Needs a 303”.

2009 was a big year for Blaze with 4 original EPs and support from DJ's such as Kissy Sell Out, Steve Aoki, Foamo, Malente, Acid Jacks, Lee Mortimer & the list goes on. As well as all the originals, Blaze released over 9 remixes on labels all around the world including a recent remix of the legendary Edu K on Ajax’s own label Sweat It Out. As a DJ there is no doubt that Blaze can hold it down like no other and has proven so over the years supporting the likes of Mr Oizo, Ajax, Duke Dumont, Edu K, DJ Falcon, Drop The Lime, Micky Slim & many many more. If you thought 2009 was a big year, wait until you see 2010.

Boonie

Doing rounds on the Sydney scene for multiple moon cycles, the enigmatic Boonie confuses as much as he delights. People all too often question whether the awkward looking young man could be the same person that was voted best under-18 DJ in Sydney in only 2006, or an impostor attempting to wrestle away the reigns to an empire of late nights and mediocrity.

The answer, technically, is yes – but with an equal and opposite answer of no. Having won FBI's 'Underage Sets' and now with a small wealth of experience, Boonie is quickly warming to his newfound habitat of jumping around to loud music that only he can hear in his headphones. It has become much easier to hear what Boonie is playing in those headphones recently as he has taken to the airways of FBI radio. Throughout 2009 he is hosting dance programs including the ever popular Sunsets, with much more due soon.

With a passion for all things quirky, cool and with an over-undercurrent of funk, he's as at home playing music to crowds of dancing, insatiable people as he is chewing your ear off on the airwaves, so come check out Boonie this misinterpreted, experimental young ruffian doing his thing.

Bounce Crew DJs

The Bounce Crew represents the musical alliance between MdoubleU and Repete, which was conceived, developed and delivered during an energetic set at the sold out 2009 TFM Beach Party. The friendship started years ago when they were regularly booked at the same clubs, but the real fun began when they decided to join forces mixing party beats to electrify the crowd leaving them begging for more.

Expect anything during a set including Fidget House, Baltimore Club, Disco, Jackin House, Hip Hop, and Breaks. Add to the mix DJ’s MdoubleU and Repete and you have an exuberant vibe and a heap of satisfied punters.

Chase & Status (UK)

Saul Milton and Will Kennard are Chase & Status, the biggest crossover act to come out of the underground since Pendulum.

Their first production, a remix for Future Cut, was released in 2004 and it was followed by a series of drum and bass anthems for the biggest underground labels including ‘Duppy Man’ on Breakbeat Kaos and ‘The Druids’ EP for DJ Zinc’s trendsetting Bingo label. Their production work for Jenna G’s ‘In Love’ earned them their first award, ‘Best Single’, as voted by over 40,000 listeners for the BBC 1Xtra Drum & Bass Awards. Despite a high volume of releases on Ram Records and constant DJ work, Chase & Status managed to mastermind and release their debut album in 2008. Packed with the kind of drum and bass anthems that helped build their reputation, it also features tracks which show the diversity of their work: the result of the album is a thrilling journey through the UK urban scene and deserves its great title: ‘More Than Alot’.

They have also remixed tracks by some of the world’s hottest artists including recent remixes of Jay Z’s ‘Death Of Auto-Tune’, The Prodigy’s ‘Invaders Must Die’ and White Lies ‘Death’. Since signing a major publishing deal with Universal Publishing in May 2009 and working closely with Roc Nation, the duo have been involved in some fantastic productions, most significantly with Rihanna who has been quoted as calling the pair ‘the backbone’ of her new record.

Looking forward to 2010, Chase & Status have signed a major record deal with Vertigo on Mercury Records and have already started working on new material for their second album, the first fruits of which entitled ‘End Credits’ feat. Plan B will appear on the up and coming film ‘Harry Brown’ featuring Sir Michael Caine.

Dave Beres

Moving from Perth some 5 years ago Dave Beres has never looked back...

Breaks were the flavour for Dave, being a monthly resident at Perth’s Ambar Night Club he brought with him the best thing the West had to offer – their love of Breaks. (Although the beaches are damn good too).

Slotting into the Laundry’s Break Inn was a natural step and Dave found a new home within the damp, dark, downtrodden & dirty resides of the Cave.

Moving on with his music Dave found a love for that minimal/progressive/tech sound. Becoming a true Cave head and losing it weekly to the likes of Bodzin, Babicz, Romboy, Boratto, combined with some of the best locals on the scene.

So when your next in the Cave check around as you might just find Dave the Cave head lurking, shifting, writhing & moving to that infectious underground beat.

Derty Rich

Since he exploded into the Austalian dance music circuit in 2008, Derty Rich has quickly established himself as one of the rising stars, prodigious talents and epic trashbags of that world. In this short time he has already ascended to support the likes of Adam Freeland, Mightyfools, AC Slater, The Aston Shuffle and Kelevra to name a few.

So what's the Derty vibe? Music that takes control of you and makes you dance with it's infectiousness. Music that has mad rhythm, sexy sounds and Derty bass. Any tune that has that little bit extra bump or bounce, Derty Rich will dig it up and throw it down for the party people that lap it up every time.

On top of regularly rocking the dancefloors of Sydney and Canberra, Rich's production career alongside The Hump Day Project's Steve Lind under their troublemaking alias N.O.C. is also blowing up. A DJ that gets it humping every time, rockstar parties that do thousands of dollars worth of damage to the club they inhabit (true story) and a new production outfit that is already garnering support from DJs around Australia and the world. If you haven't already figured it out by now, you'd better realise it's time to get Derty.

Dirty D

From cutting edge filtered tech-house beats to live remixing, bootlegs and sampling, Dirty D has the dancefloor and the minds of his audience captured. Damien (aka Dirty D) has been producing his own music and DJing for over ten years now with nine record releases to his name. Using his unique mixing style, live sampler, CDJ's and acapellas, Damien can take the dancefloor from raw minimal bass rhythms, all the way back up to the highest peak and then back down again, elevating the crowd to a completely new level of high. His bootleg productions have been recognized by DJs far and wide, some of which are being played to massive audiences and packing dancefloors the world over.

Originally from the Northern Beaches, Damien has grown up as a surfer most of his life at Sydney’s North Narrabeen beach. Starting out playing electric guitar in rock and metal bands in his youth, he has since then widely expanded his technical skills into electronic music production. Throughout his youth he has been influenced by a diverse range of music genres such as punk rock, folk, metal, blues, grunge, pop, jazz, hip hop, reggae and his favorite of course, dance music. It was the rave culture of the early nineties that sparked his love for DJing and electronic music production. After numerous mix tapes and countless late nights on the decks he jumped at the challenge of composing his own songs. Soon after that, Damien relocated to the UK for two years, becoming a regular to such clubs nights as The End, Fabric (London) and Tangled (Manchester). Damien has since acquired a taste for quality live electronic music and performance that is second to none. He has also played at various gigs in the UK, which has heightened his technical ability and experience as a club DJ/producer.

After returning to Australia, Damien, Dr Benwah and Matt Dopamine formed Whomp! live, the electronic outfit that shredded up dancefloors across Sydney. Soon after that Damien won the Martins Records DJ Competition securing respect from his peers. Today with so much support from DJs across the globe playing his tunes and bootlegs he is more determined than ever to push the sound he has loved for so long.

Doctor Werewolf

Doctor Werewolf started their music careers as founding members of mashup mega posse 'The Impossibles' in 2004 alongside Heath Jansson (1MA, The Hump Day Project). After moving from a Fuzzy residence to the greener pastures of Chinese Laundry, Andrew and Adam needed a production outlet that would satisfy their evil tendencies...Doctor Werewolf was created.

Between sacrificing drugs and alcohol to the nightlife gods and experimenting on zombie ravers in their hidden laboratory 'Astronaut Court', the Doctor Werewolf boys found the time to write dancefloor churning remixes, blistering original music and put together a mental DJ show. Also they used heaps of Facebook and finished many video games on hard mode.

After their well loved chop shop bootleg remix of The Ting Tings 'That's Not My Name', Doctor Werewolf are back with an unstoppable blitzkreig of a track, a reworking of Metallica's 'Enter Sandman' sure to trash any club and leave the crowd dazed, confused and with moisture in their undergarments. They also have a very unique and original debut release impending. Believe that 2009 will be the year of the Doctors!

Ember

Ember's unique sound is an aborted techy cheesy haphazard mash… a style that screams, “if you hate me then f**k you”. Jumping seamlessly between servings of driving bumpy party electro to bouncy subversive tech, his versatility to please the masses cannot be questioned and this is why he's supported the likes of Justice, La Roux, A'Trak, Major Lazer, 2manydjs, Groove Armada...the list just goes on and on!

A regular jet setter, Ember frequently journeys outside the local Sydney bounds as well as being a staple of the Parklife and Field Day festivals. With frequent flyer points up and an increased liver tolerance, this boy wonder is just getting warmed up for a busy year ahead!

Hey Now DJs

Raised by wolves in the depths of Sydney, Australia. Rose, Disc Jockey Hansom, Fauce and The Godfather join forces that range from producers, managers, deejays, musicians and even uptight industry suits to make Hey Now.

Known on the Australian scene for their shiny production and cult following for their live shows. Hey Now bring a lot of energy to everything they do, having played with the likes of The Presets, Basement Jaxx, Boys Noize, Switch and Felix The Housecat. They climb speaker stacks, rapidly cross genres and generally induce their crowds into raising hell. When you see a Hey Now show, you are IN Hey Now.

Their devout followers and a great mixtape managed to win Hey Now the 2009 Inthemix/Future Music mixtape competition and saw them fly to Brisbane to play the main stage at the festival. Having Remixed the likes of Calvin Harris, Depeche Mode and The Golden Silvers, Hey Now are about to drop their debut EP "We Are Queens Boulevarde". The record itself shows how easily they get bored with staying in one style, featuring Englands finest grime rappers Foreign Beggars, Miami kid rapper Demo and Sydney electro geniuses One Glove.

The Hump Day Project

As the sun sets over the city skyline two lone figures lurk in the shadows of twilight, preparing their assault on an unsuspecting club land recovering from the weekend and approaching the mid week.

From within the confines of their Surry Hills studio/hideout, dubbed "The Hump Cave", the sounds of the new club revolution can be heard echoing over the rooftops, throughout the city and deep within the hearts of our two heroes.

Across the globe the Hump Day sound has not gone unnoticed with The Utah Saints dropping their remixes on Annie Nightingales BBC Radio 1 show and the Stanton Warriors, Malente and Tittsworth all becoming followers of the church that Hump built.

The Only

Musically, The Only love it all, but don’t subscribe to any of it. The product of an idea that could only have been come up with in the late hours of Saturday night more commonly known as Sunday afternoon, The Only produce club music for sweaty rooms that can’t be pigeon holed. Labels are other people’s business and The Only leave it that way.

They like to do things big. While busy remixing for artists like Armand Van Helden & Dizzee Rascal and more, The Only have already made their official debut on heavyweight labels such as Ministry of Sound and Onelove. Not a bad place to start for a brand new act.

In fact as the new kids on the block, The Only has managed to generate a bit of a stir amongst industry types. Representation offers, record deals, major gig offers and all this with their biggest records still in the vault!

The Only live performances are not your standard DJ set - it’s DJ music but not as you know it.

Plump DJs (UK)

The Plump DJs are Lee Rous and Andy Gardner, leading names in the realm of breakbeat. The duo's first record release was a 1999 double single "Plumpy Chunks/Electric Disco" on Finger Lickin' Records and the following year, they released their first album "A Plump Night Out" (and the singles "The Push", "Remember My Name"). "A Plump Night Out" was issued as a continuous-mix CD edition and an unmixed vinyl edition and it stayed in the top position of DJ Magazine breakbeat charts for 3 weeks.

Soon after they were approached by dance music culture magazine, Mixmag, to mix their February 2001 cover CD. The mix, titled "Elastic Breaks", featured tracks from Freq Nasty, General Midi and Proper Filthy Naughty among others.

On May 21, 2001 they released a two CD mix compilation called "Urban Underground" and then in late 2002 they were asked to make another mix for well-known super club Fabric, for their FabricLive series of mix CDs. In February 2003, they produced and released the 8th album in the series.

Their second artist album, "Eargasm", was released on July 7, 2003 and following the release they established a quarterly night club night of the same name at Fabric. On 4 July 2005, they released "Saturday Night Lotion" and soon after its release they were called upon to precide over the mixing duties of Mixmag's "Breakbeat Annual 2005".

They are one of the few breakbeat acts to have songs that have broken in to more mainstream radio programs and in addition to producing, they have toured outside the UK to DJ at breaks events around the world.

In early 2007, they released "Mad Cow" following soon after by "System Addict / Doppler". Their forth album, titled "Headthrash" was released on June 2nd 2008.

2009 saw the Plump DJs bust out from the Fingerlickin' stable to launch their own label Grand Hotel.

Marky Mark & King Lee

A stones throw from the bright disco lights of the Sydney City, lies the cultural melting pot of the western suburbs ghetto’s – the birthplace of party animal collaboration, Marky Mark & King Lee.

Rocking the room with a mix of looseness and silliness, these guys leave the pretentious baggage at the door and bring to the table a tasteful selection of party tunes. On a typical night you can expect a journey through the classics of party breaks & old school hip hop and then jerked right into bouncing baltimore & head bopping basslines, or maybe you’ll be transported back to the glamour of porno disco & white label House.

In a city that can become overcrowded with repetitive electronic music (and let’s face it, everyone wants to be a DJ) its heaven sent to find yourself cutting up the rug to some real party veterans with impeccable taste in track selection. How they manage to find time to get down with the crowd is still something of a mystery!

You haven’t heard it all before until you have experienced these two mofos who are guaranteed to get you very messy.

Moonchild

Antoine 'Dorkatronique' Lubidineuse began his musical journey at a very young age, in a magical place called the 1980’s - but he pinpoints his first electric guitar in 2000 as the moment when it all started to crystallize. Jamming in his room, learning to play his heavy metal favourites and dreaming of a time when he could shred like the pros filled this kid with a burning desire to chase international superstardom that was his true calling. People always say rockstars make the best DJs - and this guy is no exception to the rule.

Leaving his home of Fantasia he crossed New Caledonia, France, Dubai and Egypt on foot before arriving in Australia, where Antoine made a beeline for the beatmakers, befriending DJs and producers and completing an audio engineering degree, (despite a predilection to skipping class in favour of video games and weed… what a talent!). It was mere months after his hands first hit the decks that he was playing in clubs, supporting the likes of Steve Aoki, Boys Noize, Wolfgang Gartner and Jack Beats to name but a few.

Now, with the help of medication he has his ridiculous side project/ electro alter ego Dorkatronique under control, and reborn as Moonchild can be found in Sydney’s best parties pumping out his own blend of nu disco, filtered French house and deliciously danceable club bangers. With quality original productions about to be released, remix requests flooding in, and a DJ show packed with more win than a fusion powered mecha-ninja with an arm canon that fires T-Rexes, it’s no wonder Moonchild is blowing up like a software programmers girlfriend!!.

Snob Scrilla

In the outer planetary underground of tomorrow’s yesterday, the Alien-Nation is preparing to go to war with the powers that be to decide who will control the soundscape of the universe. No longer content to exist on obscure planets the Alien-Nation found a voice of true freshness to rally behind in an unlikely hero, a human they call Snob Scrilla and a group of producers known only as the Blueberry Think Tank. Incorporating the cutting edge grunge of indie rock, the rhymes of conscious hip-hop, and synths reminiscent of the 80’s, Snob Scrilla and the Blueberry Think Tank have broken all the rules which have been enforced by the power for so long creating a completely new sound that refuses to be pigeon holed or typecast.

Having travelled to the far reaches of the universe gathering the essence of the dopest MC, the knowledge of the paramount drum, and the most advanced synth technology, all that remains is the final element of the Alien-Nation’s plan…a powerful alliance from within the power, who will be willing to help Snob Scrilla and the Blueberry Think Tank reclaim the attention of the youth and redefine the sound of music.

The stage is set for the first wave of the attack to start on Earth where there have been reports of youth who feel like they simply don’t fit in, youth who don’t identify with the clichés and typecasts of genres perpetuated by the power, and youth who are ready to join the ranks of the Alien-Nation.

The only question remains…who among the power will answer the call?

The movement has arrived…

The lines have been drawn…

The time for talk is over….

Day One is here.

Steve Lind

Born in South Central Queensland, Steve Lind grew up in a neighbourhood consumed with drive-bys and mini mall street life. His mother hustled keys on the side as a piano teacher just to put food on the table, and always dreamt of a better life for her son, where the only skins he would be beating were attached to a drum kit.

He woke up one day and decided that music and not automatic weapons would rule his destiny, pimping himself out to various small time bands throughout the sunshine state.

Being true to the game, diversity was always important to make sure his dream of gold chains and Cadillacs was realised. Having played everything from Funk, Ska, Punk, Metal, Rock and even Country it’s no wonder that when Steve Lind is behind the ones and twos you never know what to expect, except a full house with hands in the air.

Moving from Brisbane to Canberra in 2004 to lay low after the Eastside/Westside turf war got too hot, Steve Lind quickly became one of the most in demand DJ’s on the circuit. Hooking up with Canberra’s most successful promotions crew, Friction, he jumped straight in the deep end landing supports for some of the biggest acts in dance music, and residencies to die for. Pretty soon Steve had playa haters scratching their heads thinking ‘Who the hell is this guy?’

Word spread and Steve Lind found himself on the highway to the bright lights of Sydney, initially rocking guest spots at the legendary Chinese Laundry, until the inevitable move to Sydney saw him take up residencies at Break Inn on Friday nights (3D World club night of the year 2006), and the Laundry on Saturday nights, demolishing the Sandbar on a weekly basis.

Now Steve can be found pimping out his skills all across Sydney, while still making regular interstate appearances across Australia.

With career highlights that already include phone calls from Krafty Kuts demanding to know the bombs he was dropping, playing Sydney Good Vibrations Stage as a warm up for Beastie Boys & Snoop Dogg, a triple J mix up, a NYE show alongside the renowned Z-Trip and gigs alongside The Nextmen, Dexter & Koolism, it’s clear that many regard Steve Lind as the best party DJ in the country.

Trevor Loveys (UK)

Trevor started recording in the early 1990's after being inspired listening to producers such as Ron Trent, Abacus, Blaze and Masters At Work. He taught himself keyboards and drum programming after buying a synth and Akai sampler and after spending a year developing his sound and production skills he released his first single, 'Soul Motive' on Nuphonic Recordings. This release caught the attention of producers and music press alike, gaining respect from Deep Dish, Kevin Mckay and Everything But The Girl's Ben Watt.

House Of 909 is the production outfit Trevor is best known for and it was on this label that he released all his early productions such as ‘Deep Inside/Voices From Beyond,’ ‘Future Soul Orchestra/Up and Above’ and In To Deep. Trevor's music caught the attention of Richard Breeden the man behind the legendary Tribal label and now Pagan UK and It was this label that gave Trevor the chance to record his first album 'The Children We Were'. It was this album that put House Of 909 on the deep house map attaining album of the Month in Muzik and DJ not to mention features in NME, Music Week and iD.

In 1998 Trevor decided to go solo and started producing for his friend Omid 16B's label Alola. It was then that he started to collaborate with his bass playing friend Chris Pedley to create the album 'Era' which crossed the boundaries from deep house and electro to broken beat and downtempo. ‘Era' was album of the month in Ministry Magazine.

In 2002 Trevor signed to Freerange and has since released singles ‘Elevate Your Mind’ , ‘Feel the Horns’ , Lotta Livin’ and the acclaimed ‘The Bounce’ as well his debut album for Freerange entitled ‘Intstella’ in Summer 2004.

Aside from his solo projects he teamed up with West London’s Solid Groove to form Switch. Their debut release ‘Get Your Dub On’ on Freerange was one of those rare records that twelve months after release was still being played nationwide. A combination of fucked up beats, funk from the drawer and some twisted vocals has made it one of the records of 2003 and made Switch a name to check for. More recent singles include the dark and dirty ‘Get on Downz’ and Just Bounce 2 This’.

Trevor continues to develop his sound and is currently working on projects for Loungin’ and Dubsided as well as the follow up to his widely praised album ‘Intstella'.

Vengeance

Vengeance are a Sydney based DJ/producer duo like none other! The two renegade disco kids started early, DJing whilst still in high school and released their first original and remixed tracks in early 2008. After only 2 years it’s come to down to this, the young duo focusing their efforts towards pumping out killer tracks and delivering mind blowing DJ sets in order to spread the good word - Vengeance is coming!

Vengeance have been rapidly gaining momentum ever since winning the worldwide remix competition 'Funk Mundial'. Their remix of the Crookers’ 'Soca Ali Baba' has been selected as worthy of release on the prolific, Germany based international record label Man Recordings. It’s an exciting transition, making tracks in their bedrooms to get released with Crookers on the other side of the world with three other high profile international DJ/producers; Tim Turbo (Germany), Brabe (Amsterdam) and Joao Brasil (Brazil). Expect to see this worldwide release early next year.

Further drawing focus to Vengeance this year has been their ongoing production of consistently banging bootleg remixes that add a feisty explosion to any DJ’s set. Remixes of Blur’s 'Song 2', The Bloodhound Gang's 'The Bad Touch' and Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy' are being embraced by the electro community as dance floor hits and there’s many more to come, including single releases of their own original tracks as well as an EP.

When Vengeance hit the decks, expect an energetic delivery of electro bangers, infectious beats and ridiculously awesome synth pop! Their style is heavily influenced by Sydney’s underground electro scene, the French electronic greats and a little bit of East Coast rap/hip hop for extra flavour. Every set is guaranteed to inspire massive crowd participation. Vengeance pride themselves on their uncanny ability to make even the most socially reclusive punter shake their booty like their life depends on it!
